Coach Nicky had a awful draft in the recent 2017 Earlston Fantasy Football League draft. Their Tranent Tigers franchise came away with the number 11 ranked draft (out of 12) in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

Tranent Tigers made their best pick of the draft in round 5, selecting Travis Kelce with the 51st pick of the draft, as compared to the 34th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. “You draft the best available player,” Tranent Tigers coach Nicky said.

Tranent Tigers made their worst pick of the draft in round 2, selecting Demaryius Thomas with the 22nd pick of the draft, as compared to the 33rd spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. “He’s a project,” Tranent Tigers coach Nicky said.

Starting in week 8, Tranent Tigers won’t be able to submit a full lineup, due to having 1 defensive team on bye.

Tranent Tigers nabbed Antonio Brown in the 1st round, which reflects the fact that he was the number one ranked wide receiver for the 2016 season, based on this league’s custom scoring rules.

Tranent Tigers nabbed Travis Kelce in the 5th round, which reflects the fact that he was the number one ranked tight end for the 2016 season, based on this league’s custom scoring rules.

With a little bit of work on the waiver wire this season, or a few strategic trades, coach Nicky should be able to turn their 11th ranked draft effort into a championship fantasy team this year.

2015

Coach Nicky and the Tranent Tigers franchise came away with the number 4 ranked draft (out of 12) in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

A strong looking outfit who’s strength lies with stars in a number of positions. Adrian Peterson was a justified No.1 pick and he’s joined by Justin Forsett as a powerful 1-2 RB punch. CJ Spiller is an effective flex start. Devonta Freeman and Darren Sproles are acceptable backups who can play roles given the right matchup.

The WRs are less strong with Emmanuel Sanders heading up the group. He’s unlikely to have a repeat of last year’s career year, but he should be a consistent scorer. Sammy Watkins while talented must endure the Bills QB woes and is likely to be a frustrating starter. Veterans Boldin, Garcon and Floyd are all solid backups.

The black unicorn and future hall of famer Antonio Gates are the TEs and should be consistent, although unspectacular, starters.

Brandon McManus and the Rams are solid K and DST selections.

With a little bit of work on the waiver wire this season, or a few strategic trades, coach Nicky should be able to turn their 4th ranked draft effort into a playoff fantasy team this year.
