Coach Gav had an impressive showing in the recent 2017 Earlston Fantasy Football League draft. Their Nitten Pickaxe franchise came away feeling exuberant about their top grade in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

Nitten Pickaxe made their best pick of the draft in round 6, selecting Matt Ryan with the 68th pick of the draft, as compared to the 42nd spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. “He’s got the skills,” Nitten Pickaxe coach Gav said.

Nitten Pickaxe made their worst pick of the draft in round 12, selecting Giovani Bernard with the 140th pick of the draft, as compared to the 171st spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. “I know some are thinking that he will be this year’s Ryan Leaf,” Nitten Pickaxe coach Gav said.

Starting in week 8, Nitten Pickaxe won’t be able to submit a full lineup, due to having 1 defensive team on bye.

Time will tell if coach Gav can take their top-ranked draft all the way to the league championship.

Coach Gav had a impressive draft in the recent 2016 Earlston Fantasy Football League draft. Their Nitten Pickaxe franchise came away with the number 2 ranked draft (out of 12) in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

Nitten Pickaxe made their best pick of the draft in round 7, selecting Ben Roethlisberger with the 80th pick of the draft, as compared to the 56th spot he should have been selected in, according toADP rankings. “He’s going to re-write the record books,” Nitten Pickaxe coach Gav said.

Nitten Pickaxe took a chance on the first rookie in the 2016 draft by selecting Ezekiel Elliott in round 1 of this year’s draft.

With a little bit of work on the waiver wire this season, or a few strategic trades, coach Gav should be able to turn their 2nd ranked draft effort into a championship fantasy team this year.

2015

Coach Gav had a laudable draft in the recent 2015 Earlston Fantasy Football League draft. Their Nitten Pickaxe franchise came away with the number 2 ranked draft (out of 12) in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

The Pickaxe will take a very College Navy/Action Green/Wolf Grey tone this year with 5 Seattle Seahawks on board for 2015. First round draft pick Marshawn Lynch leads the team and a strong starting lineup.

Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick are the teams QBs and both were value picks at their respective draft positions.

At RB Lynch is joined by another dread-locked power runner in the Jets Chris Ivory. Ivory is tagged as a sleeper pick for the year and should have no competition in Chan Gailey’s offense for at least the first 6-8 weeks. Beyond the starting pair things are a little thinner with perennial underachievers Shane Vereen, Darren McFadden and Reggie Bush. If just one of that trio can produce the numbers they’re capable off then Coach Gav could be on to a winning season.

Gav took advantage of the Bohemians passing on Demaryius Thomas for Lamar Miller and added speedster (but consistency nightmare) DeSean Jackson. A fading Roddy White and rookie Devin Funchess round out the WR corps.

Another major piece in the Pickaxe offense will be TE Jimmy Graham. Gav added his heir apparent at New Orleans in Josh Hill. Another Seahawk, Steven Hauschka and The Cardinals DST round out the pickaxe squad for 2015.

With a little bit of work on the waiver wire this season, or a few strategic trades, coach Gav should be able to turn their 2nd ranked draft effort into a playoff fantasy team this year…..although a lot will depend on those Seahawks!
